Restaurant nestled in the Cicolano mountains, as soon as we arrived we were greeted by the friendly owner who made us laugh out loud throughout lunch. The food was delicious and of high quality, and the service was excellent and fast. Really great prices, highly recommended!

It fully reflects what you would expect: rustic and genuine cuisine like your grandmother's (if your grandmother cooks well), generous portions, dishes from the culture of Lazio and Abruzzo with local products. Really affordable price, we spent 22 each for a first course, second course, side dish, coffee, liqueur, beer and water. Fast service. The place is well kept, and there is also a small parking area nearby.

A Roman trattoria from times gone by, on a green hill just a few minutes from Lago del Salto. I had lunch here attracted by the curious name of this place which dominates the advertising billboards on the Salto-Cicolana state road and immediately brings to mind quality home-made cuisine. In command is Mario, the classic Roman host with a slightly rude but genuine manner, for whom hospitality and the customer are sacred. Unless you're someone who takes everything seriously, it's impossible not to play along and have a laugh with him between courses. I ate an excellent starter of cured meats, an excellent homemade tagliolini (perfectly cooked al dente) with porcini mushrooms, truffle and asparagus, a medium-cooked steak (I wasn't asked how I wanted it) very tender and a spectacular trifle. When it came to the price, I almost didn't want to believe it: four courses, two liters of water, a quarter of red wine, barricaded grappa and coffee for only 30 euros. THIRTY! I thought I would hurt myself with the bill, also given the abundance of the portions, but it's all true. And there are also those who complain that Mario is expensive: but what world do you live in? Never mind if the menu is told verbally... I think there is a lot of focus on seasonality, with few but good dishes. I was here alone for work, but I think that with a nice group of friends you can enjoy it twice as much for good food, joy and hospitality. Hope to return soon!

It is an important place in the Cicolano, perhaps outside the classic tourist tour which sees the lake as the central point but for this very reason it acquires points, in our opinion. Surrounded by greenery, attentive to raw materials of undoubted quality, traditional dishes and local specialties. Always attentive and courteous service, absolutely honest prices compared to the quality offered. Over forty years of activity is a sufficient guarantee.

We were 3 families having dinner in this typical restaurant, the environment is familiar, we had a good time and above all we ate well.
